Thank you, thank you! My family is going through uncertain times (which I never expected exspecially having a degree as a Teacher) and reading about your family has not only given me hope but has also backed me up on what I was thinking or saying to myself. I use to think how shameful it was to be in our situation but guess what, we are a family full of love and happiness. Just reading your blog up till January has gotten me excited to get back into food storage, sewing, and cooking from scratch! In other
Words after reading this blog instead of watching the television. I am going
To put on some music and get active! Rrmember, whatever you write be it good or ugly you will have a follower that it inspire!
Reading your “timeline” above I was amazed at what you were going through about the same time we were. In October 2009 a certain bank here in america reversed our Oct mortgage payment. They stated it was their fault and would fix it. After zillions of attempts to fix the problem, (some months we made double payments), only to have them reverse those. By April 2011 my husband was forced to file bankruptcy protection. They sold it anyway, only to have it go back to the bank. Next sale? July 1 2011. We are out of our condo, living in a tent, only to find out we are still on the hook for the condo. Finally, in August it sells, we move again. Husband finally leaves his stressful job in Dec 2011, registers for college with the GI Bill and starts classes on January 17th. We moved into our rented house on January 14th. Between August 2011 and January 14th 2012, we lived in our truck, military RV park or on base hotel(much cheaper than off base). It wasn’t fun, but we learned a lot about our needs and wants.
It is not something we would go through again, but are very happy where we are now.
Our foreclosure is one of millions currently being reviewed by a independent review board set up by the government. We have a lawyer lined up, but he believes the review board will find in our favor.
